
A beginner is someone who is new to a career path and is yet to gain professional experience or expertise. It can also be referred to someone who is in his/her early stages of learning a particular skill or trade.
Unlike a beginner, an expert has acquired a great wealth of knowledge and professional experience over time. Although both have a measure of professional skills, they vary in degree.
The goal of every beginner is to become an expert after a period of time. However, becoming an expert is not as simple as it sounds. It requires a lot of hands-on training and rigorous learning routine.
As a beginner, there are several challenges you will face on your journey to becoming an expert which is also applicable to everyone who is new to Data Analytics and Data Science. These challenges are completely normal and can serve as a stepping stone for you to achieve greater career feat if handled properly.

1. Getting Overburdened: This often comes when you get overwhelmed by the magnitude of things you need to learn and do.
2. Low Confidence Level: When you realise how little your knowledge or training is in a particular subject, you may become doubtful of your ability.
3. Inconsistency: It’s no doubt that most people get haunted by this in the early stage of their career. You may find yourself drifting away and procrastinating most of the things you ought to do. This gradually reduces your passion to pursue your career goals.
4. Cluelessness: This refers to losing your sense of direction and clarity of vision. This may be because you are new to the terrain and may not yet know how to strategically chart your course.
5. Discouragement: As a beginner, you will make a lot of mistakes before you actually get it all figured out. Consequently, it may lead to discouragement. Remember, learning requires a lot of sacrifice, dedication and hard work.
